@Fidget1764FreoFanman
05.01.2024My top starters (I always eliminate C and common vowels and consonants. I also avoid using U on the first try, hence no CRUST):
CRANE, CREST, CRATE, TRACE, TRICE, CARTS, REACT, CRIES, COAST, ASCOT, SCORE, CASTE, SCARE, SCENT, SCALE, ENACT, ACTOR, CLEAR, CLONE
@dees9502

05.01.2024I like the starter word ROAST, usually followed by WEIGH, then PLUNK. Or JUNKY. Strategy may change based on the letters that hit.
@Campfussell
05.01.2024I actually use the word "cheat" for my starter word. If you are uncomfortable with that you can use the word "teach"?
@MrElsey123

@wknight8111
29.12.2023I used to start with "IRATE" and then go on to "SOUND". That gives me all the vowels and a few of the common consonants. Now I just pick random words to start with because I'm an animal.
@lauriepacheco7217
29.12.2023I start with Stare or Adieu
@jeanineruby

27.12.2023can someone help me
@probablygraham
26.12.2023I start with "AMBER" and it has served me well. I find it very annoying that only valid words are allowed, since it stops a lot of strategic thinking, and I think there should it should be made clear when the spelling is an American word (e.g. "favor"). I also have a problem with there being no way of knowing if a letter is present only once. I seem to remember the answer being "FLUFF" a few months back and it was just pure luck if you guessed that one. Often there are a number of possibilities even without a letter being repeated, so knowing that a letter is there more than once would help. Surely the person who thought the game up wants people to be clever rather than just lucky?
@kushalthapa5177

26.12.2023People always say to use adieu but it usually gets you not far. The reason is the word is usually complex
@danohanlon8316
26.12.2023I’ve always thought that a major aspect of solving a puzzle was the figuring out, itself, of how to solve it. Apparently, I was wrong.
